We provide support to help individuals with:

  • motivation and taking responsibility
  • self-care and living skills
  • managing money
  • social networks and relationships
  • alcohol misuse
  • physical health
  • emotional and mental health
  • meaningful use of time managing
  • tenancy and accommodation offending.

The service is non-abstinence and doesn't require individuals to agree to a programme of harm reduction.

It's designed to support the people we work for develop the skills necessary to move on to further suitable accommodation.

The service offers support 24/7 all year round.

How to make a referral
 

Individuals being referred must meet the following criteria:

  • homeless or at risk of becoming homeless
  • alcohol dependent
  • history of non-engagement.

Referrals must be sent to Service Development Lead, Susan Rice, who will advise if the referral is suitable. The Health and Wellbeing Service Manager is Sharon McGeough.

Fordneuk also includes an Alcohol Outreach Service (AORS).

Alcohol Outreach Support Service provides a housing support service for 25 individuals who have a history of alcohol misuse and are homeless, at risk of homelessness or have indicated that they do not wish to receive planned support to address their issues.

The Service provides support across Glasgow to individuals within a range of settings including emergency accommodation, bed and breakfast, temporary and permanent accommodation.

Individuals should meet the following Criteria:

  • Homeless or at risk of being homeless
  • Alcohol Dependent
  • History of non-engagement.

All referrals should be sent to the Alcohol Outreach (AOR) Commissioner:
