Fordneuk provides a Housing Support and Care at Home Service supporting up to 42 individuals who are homeless, have a history of alcohol misuse and who may be unwilling or unable to engage with services on a planned or consistent basis.

We provide support to help individuals with:
- motivation and taking responsibility
- self-care and living skills
- managing money
- social networks and relationships
- alcohol misuse
- physical health
- emotional and mental health
- meaningful use of time managing
- tenancy and accommodation offending.
The service is non-abstinence and doesn't require individuals to agree to a programme of harm reduction.
It's designed to support the people we work for develop the skills necessary to move on to further suitable accommodation.
The service offers support 24/7 all year round.
How to make a referral
Individuals being referred must meet the following criteria:
- homeless or at risk of becoming homeless
- alcohol dependent
- history of non-engagement.
All referrals must include the named Care Manager.
Referrals must be sent to Service Commissioning Officer, Ellen McPhilemy, who will advise if the referral is suitable.
If a referral is suitable, a Health and Wellbeing Team Leader will contact the relevant Care Manager to arrange a service visit followed by a pre-planning meeting.
