The service is registered with the Care Inspectorate as a combined Housing Support and Care At Home service.
The Falkirk part of the service provides support for adults who have been identified as requiring support due to mental health difficulties, either in supported tenancies at Burnside Terrace or on an outreach basis.
We provide a 24-hour service with support planned 8am-10pm. A sleepover service is available and accessible by telephone in the event of emergency, 10pm-8am.
The outreach element of the service is set up to meet the needs of people who traditionally require a less intensive package of support.
Support is offered on a person-centred basis, allowing individuals to develop the skills they require, to both gain, and maintain their tenancy, as well as meaningfully engage with their community.
How to make a referral
When a vacancy has been identified, Falkirk Council representatives within Contract and Commissioning and Finance are updated immediately.
Loretto Care gives the Local Authority priority over any referrals to these tenancies with a panel, including representatives from social work and health, deciding on allocations.
Referrals to the service for support not linked to accommodation can be made directly to Loretto Care.
All referrals to the service must be accompanied by an up-to-date assessment which requires to have been completed within the last three months. From this, the service will assess whether the referral is appropriate.
